2. Visiting the website
When you open dnck24.de, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse these logs.
Hosting: Railway Corporation, San Francisco, USA, on servers in the EU, under a data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Anonymous visit statistics: on our own server we count visits by day, page, referring domain (e.g. "google") and device type (phone or computer). No IP addresses, cookies or device identifiers are stored (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We use no cookies, no third-party analytics or advertising services and load no fonts or scripts from third-party servers. The map is only a link to OpenStreetMap.
3. Booking
When you book, we process your first and last name, email, phone number, travel dates, number of guests, your message and the payment status, to reserve, provide and invoice your stay and to communicate with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Recipients: Hospitable Inc., USA (our calendar and booking system, so the apartment is blocked on other platforms); Google Ireland Limited (our mailbox dnck24fewo@gmail.com, which also sends the booking emails via Gmail and Google Apps Script); banks and PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. for payments; tax advisers and authorities where required by law. Transfers to the USA rely on data processing agreements and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
4. Registration form
Guests who are not German citizens must fill in a registration form on arrival (§§ 29, 30 Bundesmeldegesetz). We keep it for one year after departure.
5. Retention
Booking and invoice data are kept as long as commercial and tax law requires (up to 10 years). Unpaid reservations are deleted no later than six months after the planned stay.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Just write to dnck24fewo@gmail.com. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
